But What Direction?

A Guest Post

Democrats are now in power and are being heralded as the “do something” Congress. We should all be proud. In order to improve their image, the democrats gave the battle cry of having Congress work a five-day week. They convened on January 4th with a fresh perspective and “new direction” for America. The following week, Congress met only four days. What day did they take off? They took a respite on January 8th for the Ohio State and Florida college football game. Immediately, my respect for the new party in power has been upped three notches.

Next, Congress decided to reach out to the common people. The House voted to raise the minimum wage from $5.15 an hour to $7.25 an hour. Citizens the country over rejoiced at being fooled into thinking this will improve their quality of life. Oh, but that’s not all. There are two tuna companies based in California. That state is represented by Nancy Pelosi. Magically, these companies are being exempted from the minimum wage requirement. It shouldn’t take too long to make a connection between the two.

As a concerned citizen of this country, I can’t wait to see what else this motivated Congress will do next.

Last night on Hannity and Colmes they were talking about the above bill, and of course Colmes was defending Pelosi and the rest of the idiots. Hannity was saying that if a Republican had done this the media would be all over it; but not this time. I think the so called "liberal media" myth is 110% true.
