Little Words, Mighty Swords

This was the final lecture delivered by Brad Birzer, one of my favorite professors at Hillsdale College. While his theology is certainly questionable, the heart of his message is a timely clarion call to fight with all we have for the Truth we believe with all we are.
Let not future generations say of us: we slept. Instead, may they remember us as those who fought the good fight for the Logos and for humanity. Let it be said that in the twenty-first century we took up either of our mythically-laden swords and wielded them with all the force imaginable. We would be blest indeed if a future historian wrote of us: “No onslaught more fierce was ever seen.”
This is why every good, Christian man and woman should come to Hillsdale. Because this is what we hear, and say, and believe, in every class and every conversation and every act of our daily lives.

Dear Daniel,

No wonder Dr. Birzer is one of your favorite professors. He most certainly makes excellent points throughout his lecture. We must not be the generation that is caught sleeping.
