Another Local School Discriminates Against Christians

Student sues Farmington PS for Bible club recognition-- Read Article

For over nine months Aaron Grider, a sophomore at Farmington High School in Michigan, has been unsuccessfully trying to get his Christian Bible club recognized by the school as an official noncurriculum-related student club in order to receive the same benefits as other student clubs at the school. School officials told him that because his group's purpose was religious, and not secular, it would not become a recognized student group. The Thomas Moore Law Center (wonderful organization) stepped in and, with no other choice, Grider has sued the school district for their violation of the Equal Access Act and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

Regular readers know my experience with discrimination at the hands of school authorities. Please pray for Aaron Grider and his friends and supporters. They are standing up for Christ in a hostile and threatening battleground.

Keep fighting the Good Fight, Aaron.
